Give Teachers and Students a Real Voice
The people in the classroom should help guide the decisions that affect them most.
Too often, policies are handed down without input from those they affect the most, teachers and students. As someone who’s worked in classrooms and coached students for years, I believe we need to do more listening.
I will support the creation of teacher and student advisory councils and advocate for their feedback to be taken seriously at the board level. I’ll also seek to ensure that decisions about curriculum, discipline, and school climate reflect the real-world experience of those inside our schools.
